A personal illustration about accepting that closure does not always mean repairing what has been broken.

A lit match sits beside a matchbox decorated with a broken heart and the phrase, “Sometimes it’s better just to let the bridge burn.” The familiar object turns the idea of ending a relationship or chapter into a literal act of ignition—destructive, but also potentially freeing.
