Created for an editorial piece exploring expectations within relationships and the tendency to try to shape another person into who we believe they should be.

A gardener carefully trims a human-shaped topiary, treating the figure like something that can be pruned and perfected. The image uses gardening as a metaphor for the subtle ways control and expectation can become confused with care.
