An 8×10”, acrylic gouache personal painting about those moments when sadness, exhaustion, and comfort become almost indistinguishable from one another.

A girl sinks so deeply into a bath that only her enormous head remains above the water, accompanied by a rubber duck and small bath toys. The exaggerated scale turns an ordinary act of retreat into a surreal image of completely surrendering to a feeling.
